Trim Levels (Exterior)

Chevrolet released the Silverado 2500 HD in five trims for 2022, including the Work Truck, LT, Custom, LTZ, and the High Country. Chevy made a few subtle changes to the Silverado 2500 HD's bold styling for the new model year: a new Greenstone metallic paint color and available 20-inch aluminum wheels with a bead lock look and black accents. Go with the Z71 Off-Road package to add 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires for a more rugged look.

Engine (Power)

The Silverado HD is one of Chevy's mightiest pickups, thanks in part to its stock gas-powered engine. This 6.6-liter V-8 produces 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque and hooks up nicely with the six-speed automatic transmission. If that's not enough strength to tackle your needs, move up to the Duramax diesel. This powerhouse delivers 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet and mates with a beefy, 10-speed Allison automatic gearbox.

Chevrolet designed its heavy-duty trucks for the hard-working folks like you who use these robust tools every day. The long bed configuration of the Silverado 2500 HD offers immense payload capacity for moving mountains. In fact, this truck holds up to 3,900 pounds of gravel or gear. You'll also get 83.5 cubic feet of cargo room in the bed. The new Silverado also offers a high-tech towing package with push-button controls, customizable trailer profiles, and strategically placed cameras. With an 18,510-pound towing ability, it handles your biggest projects with ease. Every new model also comes from the factory with Chevy's legendary six-function Multi-Flex tailgate, LED cargo-bed lighting, and an Autotrac two-speed transfer case.

After the 2022 Silverado 2500 HD leaves the job site, its top trims are ready for high society with luxurious cabins, exceptional comfort, and plenty of utility features. You'll love Chevy's Convenience package with loads of desirable features like a 10-way power driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. In addition, the new generation crew cab has a longer wheelbase, providing even more passenger space than the outgoing variant. Chevrolet's HD trucks also have better tech features than rival truck manufacturers. These world-class trucks feature a mountainous dashboard packed with user-friendly switchgear and Chevrolet's Infotainment 3 Plus System. This advanced connectivity suite offers a color touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth.

Safety Features

Chevy offers a host of available driver-assistance features on the new Silverado 2500 HD. Tools like rear park assist, lane change alert, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic warnings help make maneuvering this large truck safer. The optional 15-inch head-up display projects these alerts on the windshield, so you never have to take your eyes off the road. You'll also appreciate the available multi-view camera system when backing into a parking space or pulling a trailer down the highway.
